Happy Birthday Libby!!!!Today Libby had her friend birthday party. We had a lot of fun but the best part, by far, was the spooky story. We made the basement really dark with a few candles and told a mildly scary story....the scary part was at the end when Libby's grandpa came out dressed as a hunchback and scared the girls (sorry for any bad dreams you guys). We shot a video but it's so dark you can't see anything.....but the audio is AWESOME....man were those girls afraid!!
(Sorry you have to listen to the somewhat silly story for so long....but just wait, it gets better!)

Thanks to all of Libby's friend for coming to celebrate with us, we hope everyone had fun and wasn't too scared :o)

Libbys Run-In with a Tree

Libby had a little accident tonight...she was riding her friend Morgans bike and accidentally ran into a tree! I didn't think it was to bad until I got her home and looked at her ear and head....

This one doesn't do the wound justice....all behind her ear and down her neck was scraped up.

Poor Libby :o(

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

We all had a great 4th, Brooke, Andy and Hudson came over and we had a little BBQ. Grandma and Libby played a little checkers before we ate.After we ate, we made some icecream, Libby helped Grandpa with the ice and salt.Then Libby and the Boys played a little baseball.Libby did a little decorating while we waited for it to get dark-Grandma LOVED this!Hudson got a lot of good snuggling from everyone.After a good nap, Hudson did some excersizing, check out Libby's headband on him!Grandma loved Hudson's cool look she wanted to try it out herself.......very cool!Grandpa's checking out are stashYes, Unc is teaching Libby to light the fireworks.And, Yes, that is her lighting them.
We all had a lot of fun--Happy Fourth of July Everyone!!

Piano Recital

Last night we went to Libby's piano recital, she did very good!! This is a picture of her introducing the piece she was playing. This is her playing (deep concentration)

Libby did so good!! I am very proud of her for sticking with piano!

The Insect Report

So, this weekend, Libby had to do a report on an insect, she picked crickets and this is the poster that she made. She set up at the kitchen table with her cricket books from the library, and created this poster. She spent at least a couple hours on it--drawing pictures and making the little crickets say all sorts of cute things. I know it's a little hard to see the pictures so I put captions underneath so you can see what the different bugs are saying.

Libby meets Hudson

Libby finally got to meet her cousin Hudson on Monday, after about a minute of holding him she was ready to move on. But I was able to snap a cute picture before she hopped back up.

Field Trip

Today Libby's class went on a walking field trip to the skate park. They got to ride their bikes at the skate park, play some games in the field and kick ball on the baseball diamond.this is the HUGE golf club they kids used for the golf game......Libby got it the closest of everyone else in her group. Check out that kick!!

So tonight when I got home from school, I went to check on Libby and this is what I saw. Now, you maybe saying to yourself, oh, how cute, but if you look closly your see that Libby is in regular clothes, not P.J.'s. Apparently she was to hot for pajamas and opted instead to stay in her clothes--I guess it's good she didn't wear blue jeans today :o)

Pet Day at Willow Springs

I know these pictures are horrible, somehow the setting on my camera got changed and I didn't realize until I got home. Anyway, today Libby took Icey and Ricky (her parakeets) to school for pet day, she told everyone about them and then walked around the circle so everyone could get a better look. It was pretty neat to see all the kids and there pets, they were so proud to show off there pets to the whole 2nd grade.
